Public Health 3.0 Workforce Development Forum

May 2-3, 2018 – Springfield, Illinois

Public Health 3.0, is a national model and major upgrade in public health practice to emphasize cross-sectoral environmental, policy, and systems-level actions that directly affect the social determinants of health and advance health equity. The Forum explored how the Illinois public health system can put into practice the recommendations and components from Public Health 3.0. In Illinois many communities have already developed community partnerships and 11 Illinois local health departments and the state health department have achieved national public health accreditation.
