Pump Up P.E.: Sign up for training updates and information/quotes


Over 800 P.E. teachers have attended Pump Up P.E.: Promote Health, Learning and Lifelong Fitness,  a day-long training program on strategies to increase physical activity levels in P.E. classes, implement the revised State Learning Standards on Physical Development & Health and administer the fitness assessments that will be required in Illinois starting in the 2016-17 school year. The Pump Up P.E. training program was originally developed with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through the Healthy HotSpot initiative led by the Cook County Department of Public Health. Funding for additional trainings in the collar counties was made possible by a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
