Public Health 3.0 Workforce Development Forum

May 2-3, 2018 – Springfield, Illinois
Registration is open!

Public Health 3.0, is a national model and major upgrade in public health practice to emphasize cross-sectoral environmental, policy, and systems-level actions that directly affect the social determinants of health and advance health equity. A forum is planned to focus on how the Illinois public health system can integrate the recommendations and components from Public Health 3.0. In Illinois many communities have already developed community partnerships and 11 Illinois local health departments and the state health department have achieved national public health accreditation.

  • How do we build from our successes into a Public Health 3.0 system?
  • What are the recommendations from Public Health 3.0?
  • What are the next steps in ensuring the public health system in Illinois is embracing Public Health 3.0?
  • What can your health department and community health partners do to improve public health practice and ensure social determinants of health are being more effectively addressed?
