In partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health, IPHI is hosting an IPLAN basics training to be held Tuesday, September 3oth from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM at the Illinois Hospital Association Springfield Office at 700 South Second Street in Springfield, Illinois (please note change in location).
This classroom-based training will provide an in-depth overview of the IPLAN process, highlighting all required components and various resources to support local health department staff responsible for IPLAN coordination. Presenters will follow the Certified Local Health Department Code as they share the structure and components of IPLAN. Each of the three components of IPLAN will be reviewed including options for completing an Organization Capacity Assessment and the activities and steps to complete a Community Health Needs Assessment and a Community Health Plan. The exploration will include tools, examples and hands-on activities to increase understanding of the IPLAN process. In addition, local health department representatives with IPLAN experience will share key challenges and how they overcame them, as well as benefits of and tips for tackling the IPLAN process successfully.
