QI Learning Collaborative 2017

From July – December 2017, IPHI facilitated a quality improvement learning collaborative with 9 local health department teams across the state of Illinois. IPHI hosted a showcase webinar on January 29th, 2018 for teams to review their QI process, present key findings, and share lessons learned with a live webinar audience. We welcome health department colleagues to view the recording and learn how these examples could inform your own quality improvement projects.

The slide handouts are available here. The project topics included:

  • Achieving greater accuracy on completed billing forms and improving timely submission
  • Improving satisfaction survey response rates
  • Improving the purchase order process to reduce errors
  • Reducing the number of days that bills remain in accounts receivable
  • Reducing the number of sugar sweetened beverages purchased from city vending machines
  • Increasing the initiation of HPV vaccinations in 11-14 year olds
  • Increasing the number of providers that offer extra-genital testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea
