Description

Quality Improvement methods and tools can help a health department increase its efficiency and effectiveness in this era of scarce resources and shrinking budgets. This session will describe the Rapid Cycle Improvement method and several key improvement tools for application by health department quality improvement teams. Hands-on practice with several of the Quality Improvement tools will prepare the participants to use these tools back in their Quality Improvement teams. It is recommended that participants come prepared with an improvement topic to use during the interactive workshop. Some of the Quality Improvement tools that participants will explore include: Affinity Diagram, Fishbone, Five Why’s, Pareto Chart, and Force Field Analysis.
