Description: This webinar focused on the role local health departments can play in expanding access to the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and/or Diabetes Self-Management Education/Programs throughout Illinois. Statewide efforts to support expansion of these programs, including resources for training and capacity building were discussed. Participants heard from local health departments in the state of Oregon who have both helped support referral to and directly provided these programs in communities. Finally, the accreditation process and requirements for provision of these programs were discussed.
