IPHI recently concluded the second statewide Listening Tour for the IL Framework for Healthcare and Human Services, and was renewed to conduct additional outreach and education activities through June.
Stakeholder engagement has been a central and long-standing component of the Illinois Framework’s approach to change management since 2011, and the IPHI has been the Department of Human Services’ primary partner in organizing and facilitating public participation.
“IPHI’s successful track record acting as a neutral convener and honest broker make it a natural partner to continue this stakeholder engagement work into 2014 and beyond,” said Peter Eckart, Director of the Center for Health and Information Technology. “We are excited to begin organizing the next round of events, and enabling more stakeholders to participate in the Framework’s vision for a modern healthcare and human services delivery system.”
The second Framework Listening Tour extended from July, 2012 to November, 2013, and included 16 town hall conversations, 14 focus groups and five presentations in nine cities across the state. In total, IPHI engaged more than 750 service recipients, providers, advocates and state employees.
Stakeholders are invited to help shape the next Listening Tour schedule by suggesting upcoming conferences, meetings or events that could accommodate a Framework presentation or discussion session. If you have a suggestion for the 2014 Framework Listening Tour, please send us your ideas through the website’s “contact us” page.
Additional information about upcoming stakeholder engagement events and activities will be posted at www.IllinoisFramework.org in the coming days.
