Join us for the first-ever Illinois Public Health Performance Improvement Conference! This state-wide event is targeted to Illinois health departments with an interest in learning more from national experts and peer health departments about how to improve public health services, efficiencies, activities and outcomes. With a focus on integrating principles of performance improvement and an emphasis on doing our best with what we have, this conference will provide opportunities to learn about new tools, engage in peer problem-solving, hear success stories and lessons learned from peer health departments and explore the road to public health accreditation.
This conference will feature speakers from NACCHO, PHAB, IDPH, IPHI and several Illinois health departments. Breakout session will be provided in 3 tracks to support your interests and needs. Participants can attend all 3 sessions in one track or mix and match across tracks. We highly encourage each health department to bring a team to cover all the breakout-sessions thoroughly. Don’t miss this exciting professional development opportunity! Health department staff will spend a day with their colleagues building capacity for quality improvement methods, sharing ideas and problem-solving and return back with enthusiasm for integrating this work into daily practice.
There is a nominal registration fee of $20 per person to cover the cost of food. However, IDPH has generously agreed to provide travel stipends to help off-set some travel related expenses. Travel stipends in the amount of $40 per person are available on a first-come-first-served basis for up to 75 registrants. Request a stipend at the time of registration and we will forward the appropriate reimbursement forms.
